Tel Aviv University researchers have developed a four-wheeled sniffing robot equipped with a biological sensor that uses the antennae of locusts. Researchers have placed the antenna between two electrodes that send electrical signals as a response to a nearby odour. The robot's electronic system can identify each scent's signature using machine learning.
