Social activist Pramod Zinjade has written to MSHRC to direct state government to take steps against dowry after death of a 26-year-old woman in Pune. Vaishnavi Hagawane was daughter-in-law of ex-NCP leader Rajendra Hagawane. Her parents alleged they'd given gold, silver and SUV at the time of marriage, but the Hagawane family continued to harass her for ₹2 crore.
