Social media causes lower well-being: World Happiness Report

The World Happiness Report said heavy social media usage causes lower well-being. According to the report, using social media for more than seven hours is linked to declining well-being among young people, particularly teenage girls in the West. Algorithmic feeds and influencer content are more likely to cause a negative effect. Most US students wished social media platforms didn't exist.
