SoftBank has approved a second installment of $22.5 billion to complete its $30 billion investment in the ChatGPT-maker OpenAI, The Information reported. SoftBank's board approved the installment as long as OpenAI completes a corporate restructuring that would lead to an eventual public offering, it added. The investment would complete a $41 billion financing round that was announced in April.
