SoftBank has reportedly set up a new company to develop a next-generation "physical AI" model that can control robots and machines without human input. The project is private-public collaboration backed by major Japanese companies like Honda. SoftBank targets an AI model with about 1 trillion parameters by 2030, which could place it among most advanced AI systems developed in Japan.
