US-based solar power company SolarCity's Co-founders Lyndon Rive and Peter Rive have agreed to cut their salaries to $1 a year. In addition to their salaries, Lyndon and Peter earned $98.3 million and $65.5 million respectively in non-cash payments last year. The company is firing unspecified number of employees and plans to bear $3-5 million in severance cost.
