Billionaire investor Chamath Palihapitiya said he sold his shares in Tesla last year to fund his other ideas. "I don't have an infinite pool of capital...And so, when I have these ideas the money has to come from someplace," he added. Earlier in January, Palihapitiya had said Tesla's stock price could triple from around $810 per share at the time.
