Somalia's government-led forces have seized control of Harardhere, a port town on the Indian Ocean, from the al-Shabab, Defence Minister Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur said Monday. The forces also captured the nearby town of Galcad, Nur added. The government and allied clan militias have reclaimed swathes of territory from the al-Shabab in central Somalia since launching a major offensive last August.
