Mobile phone manufacturers in India have been given a deadline of March 2025 to ensure products sold in the country have a USB-C port for charging. However, recent reports claim that some gadgets such as feature phones, wearables and hearables will be excluded from incorporating USB-C charging standard after industry players raised concerns about input costs.
