Somnath Temple launches eco-friendly prasad boxes

Devotees visiting Somnath Temple in Gujarat will now receive prasad in cardboard or metal boxes instead of plastic packaging. The initiative aims to reduce plastic waste discarded after consumption. The new boxes feature traditional colours and artwork inspired by Lord Shiva, Nandi and Bel leaves, combining environmental concerns with elements of the temple’s religious heritage.
