While ruling that daughters have property rights even if father died before Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act, 2005, Supreme Court quoted an old Irish saying. "A son is a son till he takes him a wife...a daughter is a daughter all of her life," Justice Arun Mishra said while reading out order. "Daughter remains a loving daughter throughout life," he added.
