Sonia Gandhi has been unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party. "[Sonia] will continue to guide us. She continues to serve the party and I salute her for this," party President Mallikarjun Kharge said. Party leader Shashi Tharoor also reacted to Sonia's appointment, saying that there was "no question" of any other name being considered.
