Sony co-announces $185 million fund to invest in startups

Japan's Sony and Daiwa Capital Holdings announced a joint venture company to establish a new fund, aiming to be around $185 million in size, to invest in startups within "key high-growth industries". Osaka Shoko Shinkin Bank, among others, signed on to Innovation Growth Fund as a limited partner. Sony's previous fund targeting AI and robotics startups made over 40 investments.
