Several people who recorded and uploaded videos of Thrissur Pooram's orchestra on Facebook and YouTube have claimed that they are being marked for copyright violation by Sony Music. The videos were allegedly blocked for containing sounds similar to tracks of the multilingual movie 'The Sound Story', starring Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty. Sony owns the copyright for the film's music.
