Sony Pictures Entertainment on Tuesday began layoffs affecting a few hundred roles globally across its film, TV and corporate divisions. "We're aligning our organisation with where the business is going…As a result, the company is reducing roles in some areas," CEO Ravi Ahuja wrote to staff. Sony is also streamlining internal operations by integrating parts of its business.
