South Africa reports its first cases of Indian COVID-19 variant

South Africa has detected its first four cases of the COVID-19 variant first reported in India, South African Health Ministry said on Saturday. The cases were detected in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal provinces, and all had a history of travel to India. Separately, 11 cases of the coronavirus variant first detected in the UK were also reported, the ministry added.
