The government will create the South Coastal Railway Zone from June 1, strengthening Andhra Pradesh's rail administration, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said. The state received a record ₹10,134 crore railway budget, a sharp rise from ₹886 crore previously, with ₹1.06 lakh crore in projects underway to boost connectivity and development.
