South Korea weighs military options for Strait of Hormuz
South Korea is reviewing military options, including patrol aircraft and mine-clearance units, to support freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. No decision has been made. Any deployment requires National Assembly approval. President Lee may discuss the issue with France's Macron next week. A poll in March showed 55% of South Koreans oppose sending warships there.
