The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday that the Southwest monsoon rainfall in India is likely to remain above normal for June-September 2025. The seasonal rainfall across India may remain 106% of the Long Period Average (LPA), IMD stated. Certain parts of Northwest and East India and many areas in Northeast India may witness below-normal rainfall, it added.
