A space capsule named Nyx, carrying the ashes of 166 people, was lost after crashing into the Pacific Ocean during reentry. Nyx was also carrying cannabis plant matter and seeds. German start-up The Exploration Company (TEC), which sent the Nyx capsule into space, has apologised to the families who lost their loved ones' remains in the incident.
