SpaceX has secured the option of buying code-generation AI startup Cursor for $60 billion, a year after the startup was valued at just $9.9 billion. The option comes with a liability that will force SpaceX to pay $10 billion even if it decides to walk away from the deal. Two product engineering heads at Cursor joined SpaceX in March.
