Spain joined the group of countries threatening to boycott the Eurovision Song Contest if Israel participated in the competition. Spain is the fifth country to make such a pledge after the Netherlands, Slovenia, Iceland and Ireland. Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez earlier called for Israel to be banned from the competition, highlighting how Russia was expelled following its invasion of Ukraine.
