Spain to cut workweek to 37.5 hours for millions by end of 2025

Spain is set to reduce its workweek from 40 to 37.5 hours for 12.5 million private sector workers. Backed by unions but opposed by business groups, the proposal aims to improve productivity and worker well-being without salary cuts. It also introduces digital timekeeping and the right to disconnect. The government targets full implementation by end of 2025.
