Spain plans to roll out a COVID-19 tracing app that it has found to detect almost twice as many infections as human tracers in simulated pilot tests. Spain used a new system developed by Google and Apple which holds data on individual devices to ensure privacy, to build a Bluetooth-based app. The government plans to deploy it in vulnerable areas.
