Phase two of Special Intensive Revision of voter lists began across 12 states and UTs on Tuesday. The exercise will cover over 50 crore voters in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Lakshadweep, MP, Rajasthan and UP. Earlier, SIR was held in Bihar and over 68 lakh names were deleted from voter list.
