Spine surgery gives 89-year-old woman a second chance at life

An 89-year-old woman who was left completely paralysed after a fall regained movement and independence following complex spine surgery at a Mumbai hospital. Doctors treated severe cervical spine injury and spinal cord damage through advanced decompression and stabilisation surgery. After intensive rehabilitation, she regained strength, could breathe independently, sit up, and move with assistance.
