Squats cause more fatigue than leg press: Study

A new study published in the European Journal of Applied Physiology found that machine squats lead to greater muscle fatigue and higher levels of hormones like cortisol and growth hormone compared to the leg press. While both exercises effectively target the legs, squats place more overall demand on the body, making them a more intense full-body workout option.
