Squirrel tests positive for the bubonic plague in US' Colorado

A squirrel in US' Colorado has tested positive for the bubonic plague, also known as the 'black death', according to local health officials. This is the first case of the plague in the county this year. The Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) department warned that the plague can be contracted by humans and household animals if "proper precautions aren't taken".
