A pilot and an officer were killed after a training aircraft of the Sri Lanka Air Force crashed on Monday. The Chinese-built PT-6 aircraft crashed two minutes after takeoff from the Air Force station in Trincomalee, said Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force. An investigation into the crash has been launched.
