Sri Lankan national convicted by NIA court for spying for Pakistan

A National Investigation Agency (NIA) court has sentenced Sri Lankan national Arun Selvarajan to five years of rigorous imprisonment with a fine of ₹20,000, convicting him for all the charges in Thameem Ansari espionage case. The case was originally registered in 2012 by Tamil Nadu Police after the arrest of Ansari for conducting espionage on directions of Pakistani Intelligence officers.
