Srikanth beats world no. 9 Lai to reach China Masters quarters

India's 33-year-old shuttler Kidambi Srikanth defeated world number nine Victor Lai to enter the men's singles quarter-finals of the China Masters Super 750 badminton tournament on Thursday. The world number 34 beat the Canadian 21-18, 21-19. Meanwhile, Tanvi Sharma crashed out of the tournament after losing 17-21, 21-18, 16-21 to Japan's Tomoka Miyazaki in the women's singles second round.
