The six people who died in a fire that erupted in Secunderabad's Swapnalok Complex were trapped in a room next to a stairway, which was locked due to security purposes, Hyderabad Assistant District Fire Officer V Dhanunjaya Reddy said. "The owners didn't want unauthorised people coming in...Firefighters found a lot of waste...was dumped on the stairway, blocking it," Reddy added.
