Star Health Insurance has claimed that the hacker who leaked data of 3.1 crore customers had demanded a ransom of $68,000 (₹57 lakh). In a clarification to stock exchanges, the company said it found no wrongdoing by its chief security officer, alleged to have sold data to the hacker. Star Health has taken legal action against Telegram and the hacker.
