Gordon Bowker, who co-founded Starbucks in 1971 in US, passed away in Seattle at the age of 82. Bowker had started Starbucks with his two college friends, investing ₹1.2 lakh each and borrowing ₹4.4 lakh. Bowker came up with Starbucks' idea after his friends began placing coffee pickup orders while he went to neighbouring Vancouver to purchase coffee and tea.
