Apple on Thursday announced that Starbucks cafes in the US would start accepting payments through its mobile payment solution ‘Apple Pay’ this year. KFC and Chili’s restaurants are also slated to follow suit in 2016, Apple vice president Jennifer Bailey said. Launched in 2014, Apple Pay is currently accepted by over one million US stores.
