The starfish-shaped Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) built at a cost of about $17.5 billion was opened by Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday. PKX is spread over an area of 700,000 square metres and has four runways. A train from the airport can transport passengers to Beijing city centre for $3.4 in around 20 minutes.
