Starry pillar of creation: NASA on pic of Eagle Nebula

NASA shared a near-infrared image of the Eagle Nebula (M16), located 6,500 light-years away in the constellation Serpens. "A starry pillar of creation: The Eagle Nebula," NASA wrote on Instagram. "The dusty blue haze around the pillars is caused by intense ultraviolet radiation from a cluster of young stars which will eventually evaporate into space," NASA said.
