Israeli startup Imagindairy, which claims to produce milk identical to cow's milk, but without the cows, has raised $13 million in seed funding. The startup's process will replace cows and the associated methane with fungi or other plant microorganisms. The process involves inserting DNA instructions for the production of whey and casein, the principal milk proteins, into the microorganisms.
