San Francisco-based startup 'Rothy's Shoes', founded by Stephen Hawthornthwaite and Roth Martin, recycles plastic bottles to create sustainable shoes. The shoes have a carbon-free rubber sole and are created by a 3D knitting machine, which takes approximately six minutes to make them. Priced at about ₹8,500 (approximately $125), the shoes are anti-microbial, machine washable and recyclable.
