Expressing concern over state governments not complying with its directions to enhance their stray dog sterilisation capacity, the Supreme Court said, "They are all building castles in the air." The apex court said that states cannot make vague statements. Notably, the court had earlier directed authorities to remove stray dogs from schools, hospitals and public transport hubs.
