The FSSAI has advised all Food Business Operators to discontinue using the term "100%" on food product labels, packaging and related promotional content. This terminology is ambiguous and misleading within the current regulatory framework, and is prone to misinterpretation, FSSAI said. The advisory comes amid companies' claims of '100% natural' or '100% sugar-free' on food and beverage packaging.
