West Bengal is expected to witness thunderstorms, heavy rainfall from Wednesday onwards. North Bengal districts like Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri are under heavy rain alert, South Bengal may face lightning, gusty winds and isolated hailstorms. Kolkata and nearby districts will continue to experience hot and humid conditions till Tuesday before temperatures gradually dip later this week.
