Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei called OpenAI's messaging regarding Pentagon deal "straight up lies" and accused Sam Altman of gaslighting, engaging in "safety theatre" and falsely presenting himself as peacemaker. This came after Anthropic rejected a military deal over security concerns while OpenAI signed the deal. OpenAI had said the deal allows use of its AI systems for "all lawful purposes".
