Payments firm Stripe and private equity company Advent have jointly offered to acquire PayPal for $60.5 per share, valuing the deal at over $53 billion (over ₹5 lakh crore), Reuters reported. Stripe and Advent, who initially approached PayPal in April, have not yet received a response for the proposal. Under the offer Stripe and Advent would hold an equal stake.
