An earthquake of magnitude 7.2 hit the coast of Peru on Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre, which initially said there was no threat, later warned a tsunami of waves of up to three metres was "possible along some coasts". This comes a day after Peru was hit by a 5.1 magnitude quake.
