Student finds slowest pulsar, spins once every 23.5 secs

A student from the University of Manchester has discovered the “slowest-spinning” pulsar star, located 5,200 light-years away from Earth, that spins once every 23.5 seconds. The fastest-spinning pulsar known to science, at present, rotates once every 1.4 milliseconds. Until now, the slowest-spinning pulsar known had a rotation period of 8.5 seconds.
