Five engineering students have developed an autonomous water-cleaning robot designed to remove floating garbage from ponds, which will be deployed at Basukinath Dham in Jharkhand. The robot cleans ponds' surface using a motor-powered conveyor belt, which collects garbage in a net-covered bucket. The robot has a cleaning capacity of eight square feet each minute and a one-kilometre range.
