The Indian chapter of the Education Testing Service, a private non-profit educational assessment organisation, approached the cybercrime police after they found students cheating during the TOEFL exam in Hyderabad. ETS staged a decoy operation and discovered that a fake candidate sent students answers for the exams over WhatsApp and charged them ₹23,000. The police have registered a complaint.
