Study finds hidden sign of skin ageing before it becomes visible

A study led by Hiroshima University identified a hidden molecular warning sign of skin damage that appears before collagen fibres show visible deterioration. Using advanced light-based imaging, researchers found collagen can lose its molecular organisation while its amount remains unchanged. The study could help scientists evaluate tissue integrity before structural damage becomes irreversible.
