Study finds vaccine may cut breast cancer, melanoma risk

Researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison found that personalized vaccines can help prevent the return of aggressive tumours like triple-negative breast cancer and melanoma. Using engineered vesicles carrying immune-stimulating drugs in a hydrogel implanted at the tumour site, the vaccine boosted immune response and extended survival in mouse models.
